Your nervous system isn't broken. It's just been very busy.

There's a version of this conversation that starts with a list of symptoms and ends with a label, and that version is not particularly useful to most people. What tends to be more useful is understanding what's actually happening underneath: why a nervous system that's highly reactive isn't a broken one, why sensitivity and dysregulation are often signs of intelligence rather than failure, and what it might actually look like to work with the nervous system rather than against it.
